TO THE ELECTORS OF CANTERBURY. ENTLEMEN,—The Writs having been sent down, and the Election being near at hand, I wish to take an early opportunity of addressing you upon those subjects which hare acquired importance in the present contest since I last met you, especially on the subject of the Waste Lands. In the meantime, having received a number of promises which render the result of the contest quite certain, I will not trouble you by again canvassing the Electors. I rely with confidence upon those who have promised their rotes; and I hope to receive the support also of many who have resolved to keep themselves unpledged until the day of the Election. I hare the honor to be, Gentlemen, Your most obedient servant, 5-82 J- D. Lancb. MR . LANCE BEQUESTS THE ELECTOBS OF CANTERBURY TO XSET HOC AT THE TOWN HALL, nr CHRISTCHURCH, ON THURSDAY EVENING NEXT, AT HALF-PAST SEVEN O'CLOCK. Christchurch, May 11, 1866. 5-12
