We are glad to announce that no less than fourteen nominations were received yesterday by the stewards, who met at Barnard's repository to open the same. Two more horses that recently figured well in Auckland are daily expected, and the list will therefore reach the unexpected number of sixteen. On Tuesday next we shall publish the handicap weights, as furnished by the Hon. Secretary ; but the public may plainly see by the following entries of known and unknown jumping nags that the Queen's Birthday Steeplechases will be the most successful cross-country sport ever yet established in New Zealand.
