TIMARU.
The '«* Herald," of October 28, reports:— In town, business has much improved, and should the weather remain fine for a short ] time longer, we may hope for a renewal of all traffic between the town and the districts. The cattle trade is very brisk ; and buyers for the Hokitika market are continually visiting holders in this district. Air. Macdonald recently sold three mobs, I one lot of store cattle, at £17 per head; a . mob of medium fat at £20 per head, and a 'mob of superior fat at £24 per head. Prices remain as quoted in our last issue.
