The barque Success, an account of the wreck of which appeared in our Saturday's issue, was sold by auction on Saturday afternoon, by Mr. D. Moore. It had been originally advertised that the wreck would be sold without delay, and thereupon bills were floated and bellmen paraded the town announcing that the sale would take place on Saturday afternoon. Therewas a large attendance at the sale,. and the ' prices realized were as follow. Previous to the commencement of the sale, a claim for salvage was put in *Tiy "the'-parties who boarded the Buccess after she had been abandoned:—For the vessel, £216, cargo £116, Akerston, purchaser ; for the anchors and chains, Cross, purchaser $ for the sails on the Rabbit Island, £66," Fran-sen, purchaser; 17 tierces beef fetched * £2 5a each, and were purchased by Captain Laverty; two eofls Manilla rope were knocked down to Mr. Levisn at£4; and the Long Boat was purchased by Mr.'Cross for* £lßlos.
