THE Undersigned having become the Lessee of the Agricultural Association's Yards and Grounds, Colombo street south, begs to inform stockholders and the public generally that a market for the sale of all descriptions of stock and agricultural implements will be held every Wednesday at the above Yards from 8 a m. to 1 p.m., after which hour it will be open to all auctioneers to sell publicly any stock then remaining unsold. The Agricultural Show taking Place on This Day (Wednesday), the first market will he held on Wednesday, 23rd inst. Posts to be round black pine, rot less than 12 inches through, charred at the ground line, 9 feet 6 inches in length, and to be sunk 3 feet 6 inches in the ground. Rails to be black birch, 9 feet 6 inches long, 6 inches at the back, by 9 inches in depth. Proper slip rails to be made where required. Tenders to include cartage, erection, and all ex-, penses. The Board do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender.
