"VTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a meetJA of the Road Board of the above district, held on the 14th inst., it was resolved to adopt a rate of sixpence in the pound upon the assessment of the said district, and all persons whose names appear in the assessment for such district for the current year, are hereby required, within fourteen days after tie publication thereof, to pay the amount of such rate, according to the sum at which they appear to be assessed in such assessment to Mr. Thomas George, at the Board office, Woodend, the said Thomas George being duly authorised to receive such rates.
