TO STAND THIS SEASON, the powerful imported Lincolnshire cart stallion YOUNG SAMPSON. He is a splendid cart horse, bred by Mr. Collett, of Stratton, near Swindon, Wiltshire ; a dark bay horse, with black points, immense bone, fine symmetry, and is very strong and active. He is rising seven years old; standing seventeen hands two inches. His sire is the celebrated Champion of England, bred by Mr. Greenaway, of Even Swindon, Wiltshire, who refused 400 guineas for him to go abroad in 1855; and his dam a pure-bred Lincolnshire cart mare by Cobham; dam by Big Ben; granddam, the Earl of Oxford's Old Galtimore. Young Sampson waa shown at the Royal Agricultural Society's Exhibition, in 1860, when he was very highly commended by the judges in the three-year-old class. A well-fenced and fine-watered paddock with good feed has been taken for the reception of mares, at moderate rates, where every care will be taken, but no responsibility incurred.
