Lyttelton, September 24. ARRIVED. Dove, schooner, from the Heathcote. In ballast. Mo*, 8.*., from the Heathcote. In ballast. Enterprise, p.e., from Saltwater Creek. In ballast CLEARED. Enterprise, p.s., for Saltwater Creek, with 20 tons coals, Miles & Co; 2 barrels Uγ. 1 case. Hall, Uitchie & Co. Wane, cotter, for the Ueathcote, with timber, ex Wild Wave. Wild Wave, schooner, for the Ueathcote, with part of original cargo, from Stewart's Island (timber). KAIAFOL September 24. •ABETTED. Spray, schooner, J. Smidt, from Akaroa, with 38,000 feet timber, Beswick & Birch. SAILED. Pearl, ketch, Rnssel, for Wellington, with 1171 bushels grain, Blekman Brothers. IK RIVER. Maid of the Mill. Discharging:. Spray. Discharging. The S-β. Otago arrived in Port yesterday morning at 5-45 a.m. She sailed from Sydney on the 15th instant, at 7 a.m., and arrived at Nelson on the 19th instant, at noon. Left Nelson on the 22nd, at 1 p.m., and arrived in Wellington on the Mnd. at 9 o'clock the same evening-. During her refit at Sydney she shipped a new propeller, and made the quickest passage on record ; it is expected on her return to Sydney, that she will be still further improved in speed. Her average speed down to Nelson was 12 miles an hour, the wind being generally favorable. The trip from Wellington was accomplished in seventeen hoars and threequarters, with a head wind. The 8.8. Wellington left Manakan on the 18th, at noon, and arrived at Taranaki on the 19th, at 7 a.m., left again at « jun., and arrived at Nelson on the 20th, at 10-30 a.m. Left Nelson on the 22nd, at 1145, and arrived at Pieton same evening, at 6-45, making the run in seven honrs. Left Pieton on the 23rd at 4*30 a.m., and arrived at Wellington, at 9 a.m. Left Wellington on the 24th at 250 p.m., and arrived yesterday morning at 7-45 a.m.
