The greater portion of the Sections in this Township have been taken up, and settlers are now commencing building thereon. The Mill in the neighbourhood of the. town, referred to in the earlier advertisements, is abont to be immediately erected by Mr. Cameron, whose experience as a miller is already extensively known. Sites have been provided for Churches, Schools, and Parsonage Houses belonging to the various denominations. A Blacksmith is already Jocated on the Town* ship, and arrangements are pending for erection of an Inn and an extensive Store. The Road across the swamp to the hills is completed, and is now in the course of being metalled, aud the bridge over the Halswell is finished; the communication, therefore, from the plains to the bush is now open and will be in full use by all the surrounding settlers next spring. The upset price of the remaining sections is £12 PEB QUARTER ACRE at which price they will be sold to the applicant at auction, unless there shall be an advance thereon, and then to the highest bidder.
