CHURCH MEETING AT LYTTELTON.
The annual meeting of the parishioners was held I in the vestry-room on Thursday evening last, but owing to the small attendance, and the churchwardens' accounts being unprepared, the election of churchwardens and vestrymen was postponed to a meeting held on Tuesday, the sth inst. The Rev. F. Knowles took the chair. The auditors, Messrs. Rose and Ward, reported that they bad gone through the accounts that nfternoon. The balance sheet was not ready to submit to the meeting, but tbe books were submitted, and the accounts ultimately passed. Dr. Donald and Mr. W. Graham were re-elected Churchwardens. Several of the late vestry being desirous of Jretiring from office, eight persons were nominated. A ballot having taken place, the following gentlemen were declared duly elected : —Messrs. Gee, Ward, Godfrey, Rose, Goldstone and Cooper. Dr. Donald and Mr. F. E. Wright were elected Church Property Trustees, and Messrs. Gee, Rose, Goldstone and Cooper as the School Committee.
