NOTICE TO CONSIGNEES. f"pHIS Vessel being released from Quarantine and JL having reported at the Custom House, con* signees are requested to present Bills of Lading and pay Freight to the undersigned, without whose order no cargo will be delivered. Arrangements have been made by the undersigned for lightering the cargo at current rates, at the risk and expense of consignees. Full particulars must be sent at once to the office of such goods as may be intended for transhipment to Christchurch. The goods so ordered to be sent to Christchurch will be transhipped to a steamer or sailing craft, if either can be obtained ; but failing this, they will be landed iv Lyttelton, if impeding the discharge of the ship. Consignees objecting to have their goods lightered as above, will please give written notice to the undersigned, on or before Friday, April 1, and it will be necessary for such consignees to have a lighter alongsido the ship, ready to receive goods as they come to hand after that date. After Friday, the Ist April, all goods for which entries have not been passed at the Custom House, will be cleared and landed in terms of Bills of Lading at consignees' risk and expense. D. The greater portion of the Sections in this Township have been taken up, and settlers are now commencing building thereon. The Mill in the neighbourhood of the town, referred to in the earlier advertisements, is abont to be immediately erected by Mr. Cameron, whose experience as a miller is already extensively known. Sites have been provided for Churches, Schools, and Parsonage Houses belonging to the various denominations. A Blacksmith is already located on the Township, and arrangements are pending for , i erection of an Inn and an extensive Store. The Road across the swamp to the hills is completed, and is now in the course of being metalled, aud the bridge over the Ealewell is finished ; the communication, therefore, from the plains to the bush is now open and will be in full use by all the surrounding settlers next spring. The upset price of the remaining sections is £12 PER QUARTER ACEE, at which price they will be sold to the applicant at auction, unless there shall be an advance thereon, and then to the highest bidder.
