ELECTION AT KAIAPOI.

The election of a member of the Provincial Council for Kaiapoi took place yesterday. Mr. John Fuller proposed J. Wyltle, Esq.. as a fit per•on in the place of W. S. Moorhouse, Esq., resigned. There being no opposition, W. Donald, Esq., the returning officer, declared Mr. Wyldc duly elected. DB. lIECTOR'S BKrOBT. Our readers will see that we hare availed oureclrcs of a condensed report of Dr. Hector's expedition. The length of the original report was such as to preclude its publication in our columns.
