Groom's Fee to be paid on first service The produce of this horse was declared by the Judges of the Agricultural Show held in Canterbury, 1862, to be the best competing with that of Towton and the Peer. The Magnificent Draught Horse NUGGET. was bred by Air. J. Jordan, Norfolk Plains. Sire the imported horse Black Champion ; dam by the imported horse Lincoln ; grand dam by the imported horse Czar ; greatgrand s dam by the imported horse Government Sam. Nugget is a powerful Black Horse, stands L 7£ hands high, good worker, fine temper, and a 3ure foal getter. THE PEER, By Melbottbne, out of Cinizelli by Totrci btone, is eight years old, in firstrate lieall and condition, and is considered by mac good judges to be the finest thoroughbre horse in the Southern Hemisphere. Mabchioness, own sister to the Peer, won tb Oaks in 1855. The Marquis, out < Cinizelli by Stockwell, won the 200 guineas and St. Leger, and ran a clos second for the Derby, 1862. Fee: Twenty Guineas, and 10s. groomagi payable Ist January, 1864. Special arrangement! however, will be made with regular customers < former years, or with gentlemen sending mor than three marcs. Good paddocks for maree, where every care wl be taken, but no responsibility incurred. THIS pure Clydesdale colt by the cclebratcc horse CLYDE, out of a prize mare bj Glancer, will cover at his owner's this season al £10 each mare, and 10s. the groom, with a re> duction for a number of mares. Previous to exportation this colt was submitted to the inspection of Mr. Spooner, the Principal Professor of the Veterinary College, London, and certified by him to be perfectly sound. When in miserable condition and newly landed last season he covered 20 mares winch have all proved in foal. He will be strictly limited to 30 public mares, and the greater part of the nominations are already taken up. Paddocks at 25.6 d. per week, but no responsibility incurred. A. R. Cketke. His sire, Sir Humphrey, a pure Clydesdale ; Ins dam, Didappa, a puro Suffolk; were botH imported to Van Dieman's Land. His owner can guarantee him a sure foal-getter. Terms: £5 a mare, or a guarantee for £7; groomage, ss. An allowance will be made to any one bringing three mares. Good paddocks provided for mares coming to this horse, at ss. per week. THE BLACK PRINCE WILL STAND THIS SEASON at the Halswell Station, and on Saturdays and Wednesdays at the Royal Hotel, Christchurch. The Prince is a pure* Clydesdale ; was bred by Robert Hutchinson, Esq., Craigsland, Ayrshire, Scotland. His sire was the celebrated horse Prince Albert; grandsire, Fulton's Clyde ; great grandsire, Frame's Old Champion; his dam by Clydesdale Rival. He took ten prizes in Victoria as the best draught entire during three years. Terms: £8 each mare, payable Ist FebruaJv, 1864; groom's fee, 10s., payable at first visit of each mare. Paddocks provided at Halewell at 2s. 6d. per week. Every care taken, but no responsibilitr for ccidents.
