PUBLIC NOTICE. WE, tbe undersigned, hereby give notice that, inconsequence of the constant tax upon our liberality in providing food and shelter for the MANY NEEDY TRAVELLERS, and the very frequent acts of petty swindling practised upon us by unprincipled men, who come and call for what they want and then make off without paying. This is to give notice that, after this date, we will not find food and shelter for travellers, unless the same is PAID FOR OVER NIGHT. "We do tliis in self-defence, in consequence of the high price of meat, &c.: as it is impossible to stand the constant drain upon our resources, and the frequent acts of imposture that take place make the tax all the worse to bear. THIS pure Clydesdale colt by the celebrated horse CLYDE, out of a prize mare by Glancer, will cover at his owner's this season at £10 each mare, and 10s. the groom, with a reduction for a number of mares. Previous to exportation this colt was submitted to the inspection of Mr. Spooner, the Principal Professor of the Veterinary College, London, and certified by him to be perfectly sound. •When in miserable condition and newly landed last season he covered 20 mares wliich have all proved in foal. He will be strictly limited to 30 public mares, and the greater part of the nominations are already taken up. Paddocks at 25.6 d. per week, but no responsibility incurred. A. R. Ceeyo.
