time. At the request of the Captain the owe was adjourned to Saturday for the production of further evidence.
Edgar Rowella was brought up to day, remanded from yesterday, charged with deserting from the French whale-ship Winslow in Akaroa harbour. (The case -was adjourned to Akaroa for hearing before the Magistrates.) Captain L Labaeta appeared in court and gave his evidence agaiuat the accused The Bench decided that the prisoner must be given over to the captain.
