REGULATIONS & CONDITIONS UNDER which Telegraphic Messages may be transmitted in Canterbury :— /. Charges.—Every message not exceeding 25 words, including addresses, 2s 6d.; 25 and not exceeding 50 words, 55.; exceeding 60 and not exceeding 75 words, 7s. 6d-; and so on, being a charge of 2s. 6d. for every 25 words or fractional parts thereof, including addresses. * Every message must be pTe-paid, except where special exceptions are made by the Superintendent, or in the case of replies to interrogatory messages, on which the sender may have written the words "reply paid for." In this casethe sender will have to deposit for the reply. Messages may be repeated back on payment of half-price. ' 2. Tbansmission of Messag^s^ —Messages will be transmitted in the older of their reception, except for special despatches on the service of the Provincial or General Governments, the arrest of criminals, and in cases of pressing emergency. 8. Form of A ppUCatioW.— Messages must be written in ink, and in, Words at length, signed by the sender. Printed forms will be supplied at the offices upon which messages must be written. 4. Delivery of 1 Messages.—AH messages will be delivered free from charge, within the towns of Christchurch or Ly ttelton. . Office Hours.—The office, until further notice, will be open from 8 a.m. to 8.80 am., and fromloa.'m. to 4p m. (Sundays excepted).
