THE PROVISIONAL COMMITTEE APPOINTED A THE MEETING HELD AT THK WHITB HART, ON TUESDAY, JUNE 17, GIVE notice that they are now in a position to receive applications for shares. The capita) of the company is to consist o £5000, in 1000 shares of £5 each, of which sum it is at present proposed that only one-half shall be called up, in two amounts, at intervals of three and six months. The shareholders will be entitled to receive coals at a depdt on the Ferry Road, at a slight percentage on the actual cost. The object of the company is to obtain a constant supply of cools. at the wharf, at _ price that shall not be fluctuating, and it is therefore believed that consumers generally will be glad to avail themselves of an opportunity to assist in securing bo desirable a result; from tenders already received the Provisional Committee believe that the price may be at present stated at about £3 10s. j>er ton.' So coon as half the capital is subscribed, il is proposed to convene a meeting of the shareholders, and proceed to the election of five directors, with whom the entire management of the affaire of the company, will rest.
