Provincial Government have forwarded instructions to the Emigration Agent, in London, to arrange for a ship to land emigrants at Timaru. The vessel will probably leave England in all September, and may be expected at Tiniaru in all December. This offers a good opportunity for settlers in Timaru district to send to England for their relatives or friends, and applications had better be made at once to the Police Olfice, Timaru, by those who wish to avail themselves of the Government assistance. The public are however reminded that those whom they may send for will be subject to the approval of the agent in England, and that he has full power to refuse passages in the case of persons who are sickly or unfit to become useful colonists.
