SALE OF VALUABLE FREEHOLD PROPERTIES I_ THE TOWN OF LYTTELTON. THURSDAY, APRIL 3, 1862. MR. THOMSON Will sell by Public Auction, at the White Hart Hotel, in Christchurch, on Thursday, the 3rd day of April, 1862, at _ oo_r, the following very valuable FREEHOLD PROPERTIES IN THE TOWN* OF LYTTELTON, All that elegant and convenient residence, situate in Dan-pier's Bay, known as Waicliffe, with one and a quarter acre of land annexed thereto: well laid out in gardens and orchard, and plentifully stocked with, fruit and forest trees, shrubs, etc. The above comprise sections 240, 241, 242, 243, and 245, in Lytteltoa Half-an-acre of town land opposite to the above-mentioned property, and fronting on the Governor's Bay roacl, being sections 214, 215, and part of 216, in Lyttelton. Four several parcels of land adjacent to the above-mentioned property, containing together 14a., more or less, being respectively part of Rural Section, No. 247, and fronting on the north and south sides of the Governor's Bay road Twenty-two acres of land adjoining the last mentioned property, with frontages to the sea and to the Governor's Bay road, being the Rural Section, No. 714. The above properties being situate in and near the most agreeable part of the Town of Lyttelton, and being contiguous to each other, render the whole one of the most desirable estates yet brought into the market. Immediately after which Mr- Thomson will offer' 34 ACRES or PRIME ARABLE LAND, | Fenced in with a live fence, and the greater part broken up, immediately adjoining the site purchased by Government for a Lunatic Asylum — being about one mile and a half from Christchurch on the Lower Lincoln road. The land, which is of excellent quality and well watered, will be put up in one or more lots to suit purchasers. Also, thirty-four acres on the Lower Lincoln Road, about IA miles from Christchurch, with house, garden and outhouses, all as occupied by Mr. Pigeon, and more fully described in former advertisements. Fifty-acres at Papanui adjoining the Sawyer's Arms having frontages to the North Road, and to an accommodation road, fenced, broken up, I and a great part under English grass. There are two houses on the,section, and a constant supply of miming water. This section is admirably suited for a small dairy farm. Four-acres on the Harewood Road, nearly oppsite the Church, with cottage and other improvements. Half-an-acre of land in Tuam-street, fronting on the Royal Hotel, with cottage thereon, and a large shop and house recently erected. There is a good well of water on the ground, and the fruit and vegetable garden is one of the best in Christchurch. TO THE ELECTORS OF THE HEATHCOTE DISTRICT. GENTLEMEN,— Having ascertained that the Writs for a general Election of Members for the Provincial Council have arrived from Auckland, I beg to offer myself for re-election. I have now represented you for two years, and it has been a matter of the greatest gratification to mc to find that the longer I have represented you in the Council, the more confidence you have reposed in mc. You may rely upon it that if you re-elect mc you will always find the power you place in my hands used to the best of my ability to promote the best interests of your District and the Province in general The new Electoral Roll being not at present accessible, I shall hardly be able to see you personally at present, but will do so if possible before the nomination day.
