" Eesolved that the proceeds of the subscription to the Taranaki Relief Fund, after deducting the expenses incident on the collection thereof, be placed at the disposal of the Taranaki Committee for the relief of cases of actual distress arising out of the recent Maori war, but not for compensation for losses resulting therefrom."
