GENTLEMEN,— The Provincial Council having been dissolved, I beg to offer myself as a candidate for your suffrages at the election which will shortly take place. I wish to state that, my reason for doing so is simply that experience has shown that it is absolutely necessary for the interests of your district that it should be represented by one who is intimately acquainted with its requirements, and whose interests are so identified with yours as to secure his earnest and constant attention to the duties which will devolve upon him. I believe, Gentlemen, that I possess these qualifications in as great a degree as any candidate who is likely to come forward; should you be of the same opinion and decide to place your interests in my hand3,l can only say that I shall endeavour to show myself sensible of the compliment paid mc by using my best endeavours to promote the well-being of your district and the province at large I am, Gentlemen, yours faithfully, JAMES WYLDE.
