To the Editor of ' The Press. , ;
g, R __l wish to confirm the description of the j state of Salisbury-street given in a letter signed " A , j over of Justice," which appeared in your paper a j short time ago. Several children have already fallen j into the creek, and a short time since a man in : passing over the creek to his home stepped into it | and was nearly drowned. When we ask a carter to i bring us a cord of wood they tell us they will not i trust their horses and drays over the creek ; and I ! have had to hump a cord of wood from the creek to my own house, a distance of 500 yards. If you , think that the publication of these facts may induce j the authorities to alter this state of tilings I shall ! feel obliged by your inserting this. J I may add that 1 have contributed money and \ labour to make the road passable. i I am, Sir, Yours obediently, j A RESIDENT IN SALISBURY STREET. I
