Sixty-Five Operated On At The Hospital

There had been 65 operations, nine of them major, at the hospital in the month ended August 31, reported the Medical Superintendent, Dr E. T. Dawson, to the Whakatane Hospital Board yesterday. Patients admitted totalled 159 and discharges 162. There had been seven deaths and 38 births. At the end of August, 38 patients were in hospital.
