Public Telephone Booth Shifted
The public telephone box outside * the Road Services Depot at Whakatane has been moved to a spot across the Strand just by the main entrance of the Whakatane Hotel. A new box has been constructed. The decision to move the booth Was made some months ago as the old one was constructed too close to the roadside. It was in continual danger of being struck by vehicles parking in the area.
