Kowhai W.I. Sees Demonstration Of Spinning

Mrs Cooper presided over a well attended meeting of * the Kowhai Women's Institute. A very interesting demonstration of spinning was given by Mrs Timbs, Snr. The Drama Circle entertained with a comedy “A Marriage Has Been Arranged.” Competition results: —

Best flower, Mrs Prouse 1, Mrs Rae 2, Mrs Sullivan 3; vegetable, Mrs Sullivan 1; marmalade, Mrs Cooper 1, Mrs Prouse 2, Mrs Wilson 3; tatted hanky edge, Miss Richardson 1, Mrs Preuse 2, Mrs Rae 3.

Supper was served by the hostesses Mesdames B. Johnson. W. Hills, Misses E. Fife and V. Plannah.
