Public Meeting The Mayor, B. S. Barry, Esq., has called a public meeting in the Caledonian Hall, Kopeopeo, Tomorrow Thursday 24th at 8 p.m. The question of a Memorial Hall and Community Centre will be fully discussed, and an understanding must be arrived at owing to the decision of the Governmnet to close all applications for a subsidy at an early date. The matter should be of intense interest to every sporting body, to the Progressive League, to the Boy Scouts, to the R.S.A., to the League of Frontiersmen, to every Society interested in Theatricals, in Education in its many phases, and in the progress and development of this coast. There was never a need for greater unity than at the present time, and this vital question requires the monetary help, and the sympathetic understanding and co-operation of young and old.
