County Council Meets
The chairman, Mr J. L. Burnett, presided over the monthly meeting of the Whakatane County Council yesterday. Also present w r ere councillors D. C. Butler (Chairman Works Committee), L. W. Luxton (Chairman Finance Committee), D. T. Allen, R. C. Leslie, A. F. McGougan, K. L. Caverhill, W. M. Clark, W. Hunter, C. R. Wilson and A. Wardlaw.
The county clerk, Mr C. G. Lucas, and the engineer, Mr C. H. Brebner, were in attendance.
