Co-operation Of Tribal Committee Suggested

That the co-operation of the tribal committee might be sought in ensuring that suitable and not unsatisfactory residences were occupied at the pa was suggested by the Mayor, Mr B. S. Barry, to the Whakatane Borough Council on Monday night. Cr C. S. Armstrong introduced the subject when he mentioned that sheds appeared to be occupied as residences.

Permits were granted for the building of sheds but it was hard to control their use afterwards, said the electrical engineer, Mr F. W. Lysaght. It was, perhaps, jx matter for inspection by the sanitary inspector.
