July Weather Was Generally Favourable

July was a favourable winter month reports the Meteorological Office. Two spells of clear frosty weather'were experienced. Both occurred during the passage of large anti-cyclones, the first of which caused barometers to reach their highest values for many years. Dairy production showed a rapid increase in the North Island. Rainfall over most of the North Island was deficient.
