District Pony Clubs Pay Instructional Visit To Galatea

The newly formed Galatea Pony Club received a valuable filip when they were visited by the Whakatane and Thornton Pony Clubs on Saturday. The visitors took eight ponies with them and during the day gave demonstrations in the various works of pony riding. Instruction was given by Mr D. Blomfield, commissioner of the Whakatane Club, Mr L. Davijs, White Pine Bush, and Mr T. Heard, Matata.

Although it has just been in existence a short time the Galatea Club has about 40 members, and 25 ponies. The visitors were welcomed by Galatea officers. Ladies of the host club supplied luncheon and refreshments during the day.
