New Whakatane Librarian Leaves Former Position

(Special to Beacon) TAIHAPE, yesterday,

After 11 years as public librarian at Taihape, Miss A. M. Brodrick has resigned to take up a similar position at Whakatane. Her resignation, giving one month’s notice, was received at a meeting of the Taihape Library Committee last week. Miss Brodrick gave as the principal reason for her resignation the health of her mother.

Eulogistic references ,to Miss Brodrick’s services were made by the chairman, Mr N. Ashenden, Other members supported him. She was wished success in her new position.

Miss Brodrick is expected to take up her duties at Whakatane on September 4 and the public library will be re-opened about that time.
