THOSE JEWS!

Sir, —Your correspondent, W. Bradshaw, is to be commended on his concern over the critical state of world and Empire affairs. But in condemning certain Jewish financiers he seems to include ; all things of Jewish origin. This is fairly fair, for after all, Jews are by no means all financiers,'nor are all financiers Jews —what about our own Mr Nash? We can blame the Jews for some thing, but there are also things for which we British Gentiles must shoulder the blame ourselves. These few verses from an old poem show how anti-Christian is this attitude : “O you who will these folk abuse, Simply because by name they’re Jews, The Saviour, too, you must refuse. He’s Jewish. “The Scriptures, then, we may expect, For the same reason you’ll reject; For if you will but recollect, They’re Jewish “Thus the apostles, too, must fall; For Andrew, Peter, James and Paul, Thomas and Matthew, John and all Were Jewish. “So to your helpless state resign Yourself in wretchedness to pine; Salvation, surely you’ll decline. It’s Jewish. Yours etc., MRS GENTILE. Ohope, July 30.
