Talk On Whakatane A talk on Whakatane is to be broadcast by the Bay of Plenty^station IYZ at 7.15 this evening. The script is by Enid Tapsell, Maketu, and the commentary by a Whakatane broadcaster. Third Game The touring British Isles Rugby team will play. the third match of their New Zealand tour tomorrow against West Coast at Greymouth. The game is to be broadcast by 3YZ Greymouth, 920 kilocycles, 326 metres. New Conveniences New and up-to-date conveniences are to be erected by the Whakatane Bowling Club the president, Mr C. W. Good, stated at the annual meeting. In addition a comprehehsive plan for the development of the club’s property is being prepared.
Shooting Season Judging by the number of trespass notices appearing in the Beacon in the last few issues the shooting season cannot be far away. Most property owners and farmers appear intent in keeping their land free of sportsmen, guns and dogs this year.

Musgrove, Rotorua, at the annual meeting of delegates in Tauranga, as being, very satisfactory,} especially when it was remembered' that the Centre was started with £3, borrowed from clubs. The sum of £lsl was now in hand, said Mr Musgrove.
