Care Of Glass

When washing that precious glassware or crystal, place a folded piece of old towelling at the bottom of the wash-up bowl so as to minimise the danger of cracking. Use soapy water to wash in and rinse in clean water with a dash of vinegar. Dry while hot and do not twist the stems of wine glasses in case they snap and never stack tumblers inside one another for fear they stick. If this should happen part them by filling the inside one with cold water and standing the outside one in warm water.
