General Easing Of Prices Noted At Te Teko Stock Sale

A general easing of prices was noted at the fortnightly stock sale held at the Te Teko saleyards on Monday, by the Whakatane Branch of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. A good yarding of fat and store cattle were auctioned to a large and representative bench of buyers. Cattle came forward in good order and condition but bidding was restrained throughout, reflecting the dry conditions now prevailing. Prices were:— Fat cattle, £7 15s to £lO 15s; store cattle, £4 12s 6d to £7 15s; bulls, £7 5s to £ll ss.
