Postmistress At Edgecumhe Resigns

Following ten years service as postmistress of the Edgecumbe Post Office Mrs L. M. Cunningham has now resigned from that position and will discontinue her duties on February 9. At one time Mrs Cunningham resigned her position but rejoined the post office during the war years when staffing was so acute.

She will be replaced temporarily by the relieving postmistress from the Thames Postal District, Miss E. R. Jessen, who is at present relieving at Matata. No permanent postmistress has yet been appointed.
