Rhodes Scholar Home Again
After some years overseas persuing his studies in agricultural science and animal husbandry, the Whakatane Rhodes scholar, Mr Alan Stewart M. Ag. Sc., has been home again staying a few days Viitii his parents, Mr and Mrs K. Stewart, Hillcrest. He left Whakatane yesterday for Massey College, where he has accepted an appointment to lecture
Empire Games Broadcast The official opening of the British Empire Games is to be held on Saturday at about 1.30 p.m. and is to be broadcast by the Bay of Plenty station ‘ IYZ from 1.25. Broadcasts of different events will be held throughout the day and will end at 11.15 p.m. when IYZ will present a full summary of the day’s results.
