OHOPE GREEN PLAYS WELL OVER HOLIDAYS

Ohope has provided many attractions for pleasure seekers during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Perhaps one of the most popular recreations for both young and old—men and women—has been found upon the bowling green. The green, which is beautifully kept and centrally situated, has been praised on all sides by visitors to the beach from many parts of New Zealand. It has provided fast keen play and i£ recognised now as one of the best greens in the Bay of Plenty. On Boxing Day a highly successful tournament was conducted and on January 22 another tournament will, be held at which teams from Tauranga, Te Puke, Whakatane, Ohope and Opqtiki will appear.
