Awakeri Jockey Riding Winners For Hawera Stable

Jack Bust (“Rusty” to his racing cobbers), a son of Mr A. J. Rust of Awakeri, now an apprentice jockey at Meynell’s stables, Hawera, has ridden a number of winners recently. He added to his reputation by bringing home two firsts and a third at New Plymouth last week— Odysseus in the hurdles, Quillo and Papawhero. ' In his first 16 rides “Rusty” has weighed in 14 times, and has brought the punters some good dividends, including one of £35 and one of £24.
