Everybody Happy ‘ Valuable, indeed, is the know how: A swarm of bees descended, on a parked car in Napier, causing its owner to keep hjs distance. From a cafe nearby issued a girl with a box. Expertly she singled out the queen and put her in the box, in * which was already a piece of honey- ' comb. The swarm followed. The car owner was happy, and so was the girl. Her parents, who live in the country, keep bees, and to thent goes the hive as a gift. Caught Them Napping The Bank Of England has long required its employees to sign a register upon their arrival in the morning, and if they are late they must likewise record the reason thereof. London weather being what it is, the first tardy gentleman generally sets down “fog” opposite his name, and those who follow write “ditto.” But fate dealt a new hand one morning, and the first latecomer wrote in the book, “wife had twins.” Under the twiceblessed gentleman’s _ name mechanically followed twenty others, „ each followed by the one word “ditto.”
