Domain Beach Cleared

' Most of the logs and other rubbish littering the beach by the Whakatane Heads Domain were cleared by a working bee organised by the Whakatane Beautifying Society on Saturday. Heaped into piles the rubbish was burned by members of the Whakatane Volunteer Fire Brigade and by the late afternoon the beach had been well cleared. The president of the Society, Mr E. R. Dillicar, thanked all those who had taken part in the work and those people living at the Headb, who had provided morning tea.
