Six finishing touches that mark a good cook:— 1. Squeeze juice of lemon in tomato soup. 2. Teaspoonful of cold water in the omelette. 3. Smear of garlic round the salad bowl. 4. Teaspoonful of sugar with the carrots. 5. Lemon rind in the rice pudding. 6. Almond essence in the fruit pie crust.
