Free Price A Solution?
A suggestion that a free price system for eggs would provide a solution to the shortage is discounted in the annual report of the Marketing Department, tabled in the House of Representatives. “Such a system would undoubtedly provide certain classes with all the eggs they require,” says the report, “but if it is desirable to maintain equitable distribution for all at a price within the reach of lower income groups, then the present egg floor system is unavoidable.”
