Egg Scheme Abandoned
Plans to sell eggs by weight in New Zealand have been abandoned. A trial was conducted at Gisborne, but as it was not conducted satisfactorily, another was to have been made at Tauranga. This was cancelled, however, and the Master Grocers’ Federation has withdrawn its support for the scheme. Handling difficulties were one factor in the federation’s decision.
