Martin, Rotorua, have been nominated by the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union for the North Island team, which is to play South Island at Christchurch on October 1. Welch has been suggested as full back and Martin as a three-quarter. Both players have represented their own sub-unions for some years .and both played for the Bay of Plenty this 3'-ear.
