Te Teko Red Cross Collects Clothing
At the September meeting of the Te Teko Sub-Centre of the Red Cross Society Mrs L. B. Smith presided over a good attendance. From <he clothes drive amongst members a quantity of good warm clothing was handed in and sorted for dispatch overseas. It was decided to donate £3O for Food for Britain, also £lO for Middle East relief. Mrs Balfour reported on the Division Council meeting, which she had attended as an Eastern Bay of Plenty delegate. The secretary reported that the renovations to the pie stall were now completed, and a vote of thanks was passed to all those who had given donations and free labour for this work.
