There Was Another Key
When Boy Scouts visited Philadelphia’s Independence Hall, a memorial to the signers of the American Declaration of Independence, the guide produced a worn old key. “This is the only key in the world which will open this door,” he said.
Scout Hugh Williams, 12, of New Jersey, fished a key from his pocket and opened the door with it.
The boy’s grandfather had been given a facsimile key to Independence Hall as a souvenir 40 years ago.
