WHAKATANE MEN’S CLUB

A 4-Ball Best-Ball Stableford played last Saturday was won by L. W. Luxton and I. A. Wylds, 42 points, with K. Hannah and A E. Shaw, 41 points, runners-up. The qualifying round for the Fortune and Founders’ Cups and Flights, the draw for which was published in last. Friday’s Beacon, will be played tomorrow. On Sunday the club will play a visiting team of 24 players from Te Puke, members wishing to take part in the match to advise the Club Captain tomorrow. TE TEKO MEN A team will visit Waimana on Sunday. Players will be notified. Thomas and Whiteley won last week’s competition. T. Lyons’s handicap is r.educed to 22.
