WORLD CITIZENSHIP ADVOCATED
Dr. Harlow Shapley, Director of the Harvard Observatory, urges that “Americans should consider enrolling themselves as world citizens.” It is not enough to be a Bostonian, or a New Englander, or an American,” he said. “We shall gain, and the world will gain, when we take to our world citizenship the respect and service we now devote to our own nation.”
