PLUNKET SOCIETY

WHAKATANE BRANCH The monthly meeting of the committee of the Whakatane branch of the Plunket Society was held last Monday evening, Mrs Cairns presiding. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Morpeth, Uainton, Jessop and Knights. The Auckland Provincial Conference will be held in Auckland next month when it is hoped Whakatane and its sub-branches will be represented.

At a recent meeting at Ohope it was unanimously decided to form a sub-branch there. The Nurse’s reports show that the Plunket Room established at Ohope,a few months ago is by mothers.

Miss P. Winstone, relieving Plunket Nurse, has commenced duty and her report for June was received^
